Unbiased reviews for FUE transplants (or alternatives) - NYC

Hello. I've been researching hair transplant options in the NYC / tri-state area for quite some time now, and have found that most of the content on the Web is posted there by doctors or clinics themselves, including some of the "reviews". I've reached a point where I cannot tell what is real and what is fake, and this is coming from someone with extensive experience in Web research.

What I'm looking for is some type of unbiased review site or forum, similar to Yelp or Amazon reviews, where I can get some honest feedback on what my options are in my area. Do these exist?

I'd like to schedule a consultation within the next few weeks and hopefully get this procedure done in January, but have hit a wall in terms of research. I also have some follow-up questions regarding FUE, and was hoping to get some honest answers on those as well before visiting any doctors and weighing my options.

1) How long is the recovery period after FUE?
2) I shave my head regularly. Can I continue to do so after the surgery, or it will it cause problems down the road?
3) I've read there is no scar with FUE. How true is this?

Pretty disappointed at the lack of responses here. After doing a ton of research, I'm at a dead end and was hoping for some help on these forums.

Yelp is not unbiassed, are you kidding? This is a good place to do your research, but you have to do the legwork yourself and meet with doctors and patients.

As I mentioned, I've done the legwork -- including spending countless hours browsing these forums. At this point I'm more confused than I was when I started. I was hoping to at least find some unbiased reviews for doctors in my area.
